Important
Before commencing the work to replace the bearing, make sure that the machine is off and put in the safety position(control panel is not powered).
To lift out the rotating assembly, in order to for example replace the bearings, loosen the screws securing the top cover(Figure C-18,19 item
5) and then remove it, after, where necessary, close the gearbox oil lubrication tank tap (Figure C-18,19 item 6), close the oil supply hose, and disconnect the gearbox oil tank level sensor wire(Figure C-19 item 7).
Using the extraction screws(Figure C-17 item 1) open the liquid discharge cover, and (Figure C-18 item 2), and the solid discharge cover (Figure C-18 item 3) and the top cover (Figure C-18 item 4); and place under the cover a thick piece of wood to prevent too much stress on the hinges from the weight of the cover.
Loosen the screws(Figure C-20 Item 8) of the hydraulic motor baseplate and loosen the lower adjusting nut (Figure C-20 Item 9) of the position register (Figure C-20 Item
10) on the same plate. Tighten the upper adjusting nut (Figure C-20 Item 11) of the register to raise the plate ato llow for the scroll belt (Figure C-22 Item 12) to be removed from the bowl’s toothed pulley hub.
Loosen the fixing screws(Figure C-21 item 13) of the electic motor baseplate and loosen the lower adjusting nuts (Figure C-21 Item 14) of the position registers (Figure C-21 Item 15) found on the same plate. Tighten the upper adjusting nut (Figure C-21
Item 16) to raise the plate to allow for the bowl belt (Figure C-22 Item 17) to be removed from the bowl’s toothed pulley hub.
Unscrew the front and rear fixing screws (Figure C-22 item 18 and Figure C-22 item
19) and disconnect the scraper motor electrical connections (Figure C-22 item 20) by opening its junction box, the greasing tubes attached on the support, and where necessary, remove the temperature sensors (Figure C-22 item 21 and Figure C-22 item 22). Use the extraction screws (Figure C-23,24 item 23) that screw on the support, raising the rotating assembly horizontally from the base, but only after it has been secured by an adequate lifting system.
Use the lifting devince such as hoist or gantry. Use 2 straps, one on each end, to secure the bowl, ensuring the balance of the bowl for lifting.
Place the rotating assembly on a suitable support to support its weight, secured with wooden blocks to prevent rolling.
For transport: Secure the rotating asssembly onto a pallet of suitable length, and put support blocks under the bowl to prevent movement, Secure the bowl and build a wooden cage/box around it for transport.
Do not use metal chains as the metal may damage the surface of the bowl material.
